This audio converter (ADC) converts an analogue stereo signal to a digital audio signal (Toslink or coaxial). If you want to hear the sound of a record player or CD player over your speakers, make a connection between the audio output of your record player and the audio input of your amplifier. The audio output of your record player only has an analogue (red-white/left-right) output, while your playback device (amplifier, soundbar, active speakers) may only have a digital (Toslink/coaxial) input available. Please note that a record player must have a built-in phono pre-amplifier (RIAA). Use the Connect AD12 when your audio amplifier has no or too few analogue audio inputs.

Uncompressed LPCM digital stereo signal output with 48 kHz sample rate.
Includes high-quality ADC (analogue-digital converter) for best sound reproduction.
Supports simultaneous audio output from digital optical and digital coaxial outputs.
