Product description

Operate up to 2 devices inside a closed cabinet, using your own remote control.

  • Intended to operate up to 2 devices inside a closed (TV) cabinet, using your own remote control.
  • Suitable for virtually all audio visual devices such as decoders, media boxes, Blu-ray players, hi-fi receivers and tuners.
  • Basic model in silver casing.

The Invisible Control 2 is an entry-level infrared extender that allows you to operate up to 2 audio visual devices.

You place the receiver (a little black box) within your remote control's line of sight, having it connected to the transmitter(s) you stuck to your audio visual devices. Your remote control's signal is sent to the transmitter(s) via the receiver. The transmitter then 'operates' your audio visual equipment. This ensures that you do not have to open any cabinet doors in order to operate your equipment.

Frequently asked questions

Can I place the IR LED in the centre of the infrared eye?

The IR LED is made of a material which lets the infrared light through. You can place the LED in the centre of the eye without any problems.

Can I extend the cable with the IR (infrared) LEDs?

No, that is not a good idea. The signal becomes too weak. The warranty also expires.

Can I remove one of the IR (infrared) LEDs if I don’t use it?

Do not remove any of the IR LEDs. You can, however, attach the unused IR LED to the bottom or back of the device.

How many devices can I control with the Invisible Control 2?

The Invisible Control 2 is equipped with two transmitter LEDs, for a maximum of two devices, but can be extended by adding another cable with two transmitter LEDs (IR Eye 2, 08174), so that you can control four devices via IR.

If I use the mains adapter, do I also have to place a battery in the Invisible Control 2?

No, when you are using the mains, you do not need a battery. The Invisible Control Black 2 will also not go on stand-by.

Can I use the Invisible Control 2 near a flatscreen TV?

The Invisible Control 2 must not be allowed to react to the light emitted by the screen. It's easy to test whether or not this is the case. The Invisible Control has 'blinking' LEDs that flash on and off when transmitting. If you hold the Invisible Control in front of the screen, the LEDs will flash red. If you take the Invisible Control away from the screen, the LEDs will switch off. Once the LEDs are off, you have found the correct position to prevent interference.
